He parted his hair sideways which is why the hair on top of his head seems short like bangs. His thick hair was cut in a short layered fashion which made his hair seem more voluminous.
Slick Back Medium-Length Haircut
It is easy to change how Doc Holliday changed when he moved to Dallas. This photograph was taken a year later and he changed his haircut. He combed his hair back and let it grow a little longer so that it covered the top portion of his ears.
The slick hairstyle suited him and it gave him a dapper appearance. Men with thick hair should definitely try this haircut.
This short haircut of Doc Holliday shows that his hair was cut again as it is shorter. However, the front portion had bangs that were combed to the side. This made them visible yet matched the aesthetic of the remaining part of his look.
He appears to have a side quiff as his hair is protruding on one side. Adding a quiff to any hairstyle elevates the look and takes it to a whole new level.
The most famous haircut of Doc Holliday is the side part pompadour. The clean side part gives him a polished look and well put together vibe.
This haircut is popular even today but men can get a higher volume thanks to styling products available today. This haircut not only looks fantastic on every face shape but it stays in place too making it perfect for every occasion.
Short-Length Quiff Haircut
Two years before his death, Doc Holliday had a short haircut where his hair was neatly combed back. He had a side part and by this point his hair loss was apparent.
He had a quiff on the right side and it took away the focus from his hair loss. He still had hair on the rest of his head. Men who are experiencing hair loss can either choose to flaunt it like Doc Holliday or opt for other stylish cuts.
Steps In Getting The Pompadour Haircut
The pompadour haircut refers to a haircut where the sides are short while the top has some length to create volume. Here is how you can get the pompadour haircut like Doc Holliday.
Step 1: Work on clean hair
Work on clean and dry hair. You can blow dry it if you wish after washing it clean. Then create a section that you will style as pompadour and keep it secure using clips or an elastic band depending on your current hair length.
Step 2: Section and cut
The section that needs to be short has to be cut first which is all your hair except for the top portion. Use clippers for cutting your hair using the number 8 guard.
This allows for your hair to be 1 inch long. For some men, this will be a light trim especially if your hair is around that long.
Step 3: Cut across
Wet your hair completely and then comb your hair towards your face so that your hair falls naturally. This will allow you to see the current length and then cut in a straight line across so that your hair is the same length.
Step 4: Part and cut
Part your hair from the middle as this shows you how well you cut the length for the pompadour. Then start to trim so that the haircut blends rather than looking like two different sections of two lengths. It is best to angle your scissors and cut after combing your hair before cutting each time.
